Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Kinetic ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Kinetic is a fitness tracking web application. We provide tools to log workouts, track personal records, monitor body composition, and follow training progressions. The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue it at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Kinetic
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
  • One account per person — no shared or automated accounts
  • You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account

4. Health disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Kinetic is a tracking tool, not medical or fitness advice.

The information and features provided by Kinetic are for informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional or certified trainer before starting any new exercise programme, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or concerns. Kinetic is not liable for any injury, illness, or other adverse outcomes resulting from exercise activities tracked or suggested by the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the API
  • Upload or transmit malicious code or content
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

6. Intellectual property

The Kinetic application, design system, and codebase are proprietary. Your workout data belongs to you — you can export it at any time and we will never claim ownership of data you create.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kinetic and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for a free service is zero).

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
